Thursday the 18th is the Video Release Party!  Come hang out with the cast and crew at Therapy.

What a great summer this is turning out to be! It’s been full of creative projects and lots of fun. The second recording session for the “Blue J” album went great. Six fantastic hours in the studio with amazingly talented people ( ♫ Who could ask for anything more! ♫ ). This album is going to be a masterpiece.

Meanwhile, editing on the Unwell video continues and plans are being made for the video release party. It should be scandalous and fun! Stay tuned for details. The song Unwell is on my soon to be released EP “Hearts Are Worth the Mending.”

I did have to miss the big mid-summer camping trip with my friends Kiefer and Chris from Ohio, which was kind of a bummer (boo!) but we’re planning on a Labor Day camping trip to make up for it (yea!) Can’t wait!  Life is rockin’

My friend Marc had been encouraging me to get a pair of Converse.  I hadn’t had a pair for years.  I was going to get them but I kept putting it off.  Then, I went shopping at Macy’s for the Unwell video shoot with Michael Lawrence (our director).  After we bought the clothes we needed, we went to the shoe department and Michael made me buy a pair of Converse.  Ha!

I guess it was really in the cards somehow.  I was meant to have a pair of Chucks   Now I love them!  I think I’ll always have a pair.  Marc told me I should write about it and post it on my site.  So here it is:  me and my Converse.  Woo hoo!

I had a meeting last night with Wells Hanley and Colin Killalea in preparation for our recording session on Friday.  Wells and I played tunes for Colin and talked strategy.  I’m really looking forward to this recording session.  We are working on a new album which is entitled “Blue J.”  It will be songs by my friend Marc McBarron Kessler.  The title song was written for and about me by Marc.  I’m really excited about this project.

In the meantime, the Unwell video is being edited and Michael Brian Lawrence is already scouting locations for the release party.  Woo Hoo!  Let’s party!  If any of you have any ideas of a great place to have the party, let me know.

We had a wonderful day yesterday shooting the video for my cover of Matchbox 20s Unwell.  We were on location from 10:00am until 10:00pm.   Michael Brian Lawrence ran the show with great aplomb.  We love you Michael!  Also Lawrence Wallace and Richard Davis were incredible.  I’m so excited about this video.

Maria Colaco choreographed 6 dancers (including her) and all I can say is Wow!  They are fantastic.  They dance up a storm.

The video takes place in a SoHo art gallary.  The visuals are great – the dancers are great – the song is great.  I think we have a winner here.
